Creative Industry Growth - TNTD and TAFTA Partner To Launch Groundbreaking Internship Program

Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution Limited and Terra Academy for the Arts (TAFTA) today announced the launch of a one-of-a-kind collaboration aimed at providing top-level training and valuable hands-on industrial experience for young Nigerians within the creative and film industry. Under this partnership, graduates of TAFTA will get the opportunity for a paid internship with Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution Limited upon completion of their training. The internship program aims at providing practical use of the knowledge acquired by TAFTA graduates in a real-world environment.

Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution Limited is an independent entertainment company that distributes and markets local and international filmed content. Their distribution network spans cinema, inflight entertainment, streaming platforms, and linear television networks within and outside Africa. They also produce commercial filmed content and are committed to becoming the leading global supplier of wholesome, feel-good entertainment to cinemas worldwide. Their upcoming release, Charlie And The Boys, produced by Damn Good Studios, will be released in cinemas across Nigeria on September 29, 2023.

While announcing the partnership, Anita Edwards, the Chief Executive Officer of Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution Limited, said, “As an organisation, we are on a mission to change the landscape of the entertainment industry both locally and internationally by bridging the gap between content creators and target audiences within and outside Nigeria. Terra Academy for the Arts (TAFTA) is on a mission to train Nigerian youths in technical creative skills such as Scriptwriting, Animation, Stage Lighting, Sound Design, and Arts Business and entrepreneurship. These courses are completely free and positions young creatives for fulfilling and dignified work and job placement.


The collaboration came into effect in April 2023.
